From your T-Mobile Phone to another
phone
To compose and send a text message from your T-Mobile phone,
perform the following steps:
- Just type out messages on your keypad
- click send to send them to other mobile
phones or e-mail addresses.
- When you send or receive text messages with
your T-Mobile phone or device, you use 10-digit phone numbers as your
addresses.
What do I need to send or receive picture or video
messages?
To send picture or video messages, you need a phone with a built-in camera. To
receive picture or video messages, you need a picture- or video-capable phone
(with or without a camera). If you receive a picture or video message on a phone
that does not have those capabilities, you will receive a text message instead.
You can then forward that message to your computer to view the picture or video.
How do I send text messages to international numbers?
When texting to an international number, use the following number
format, based on which type of phone you’re using:
T-Mobile: Enter 011, the country code, the Mobile Designator Digit, if required,
and then the wireless number.
Nextel: Enter the plus (+) sign, the country code, the Mobile Designator Digit,
if required, and then the wireless number.
NOTE:
A few countries have started adding a digit to the phone number, which T-Mobile
refers to as a Mobile Designator Digit. The digit is used by the
international carrier to identify the phone number as a mobile number. This
digit should be entered preceding the phone number. Currently, Mexico, Honduras,
and Thailand require the Mobile Designation Digit.
As an example, to address a text message to France using a T-Mobile phone, enter
the following:
01133<wireless number>
International text messages can only be sent to or received by wireless
subscribers of an international carrier listed on the Country codes for
international text messages .

NOTE:
T-Mobile subscribers cannot send or receive text messages while in an
international location at this time.
How do I send a text message to an email
address?
To send a text message to an email address, when addressing the
recipient of the text message, instead of entering a phone number, enter an
email address.

e-mail address—your e-mail address is simply your 10-digit phone number at

How do I Block Messages on my T-Mobile Phone?
Message Blocking is a service that allows you to
block messages to and from your phone. This can help you avoid unwanted
messages. Best of all, T-Mobile provides this service to you at no charge!
With Message Blocking you can block incoming and outgoing text messages (SMS),
picture messages (MMS), Instant Messages (IM), and e-mail.
NOTE: Blocking incoming and outgoing Instant Messages and e-mail applies to
phones which use text messaging to send/receive these messages. If you want to
be able to send or receive messages, Message Blocking is not the right service
for you. Messaging Blocking is intended to block messages in general, not to
prevent overage charges. Message Blocking is not currently available for Prepaid
accounts.
